On Friday 8 February, HS2 deposited a proposed set of amendments to the High Speed Rail (West Midlands - Crewe) Bill in Parliament, in the form of an Additional Provision (AP).


The principal amendments in this AP across the Phase 2a proposed scheme include:


�.     changes to utilities designs;

�.     highway works to improve safety and capacity in light of HS2 construction traffic;

�.     changes to the design at Crewe Station;

�.     a replacement traction power supply route from Newlands Lane to Parkgate instead of the route to Rugeley;

�.     the addition of temporary Tunnel Boring Machine and permanent power supply routes at Whitmore and Madeley, as well as an extension of the Whitmore tunnel; and

�.     the reconfiguration of the Phase 1 West Coast Main Line junction at Handsacre.

Any individual, group of individuals or organisations whose property or interests are directly and specially affected by any of the proposals in AP2 may submit petitions against it.
